At Cubby’s, we believe in the strength of community and the importance of supporting our neighbors. We’re excited to announce a new initiative aimed at addressing food insecurity in our region. From now through December 31, 2025, customers at all Cubby’s locations in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota can choose to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at checkout. The additional funds collected will be donated directly to Food Bank for the Heartland and Feeding South Dakota, to assist individuals and families in need.
This campaign comes at a critical time. Food Bank for the Heartland reports that they are currently serving four times the number of households compared to during the pandemic. With one in eight individuals and one in five children experiencing food insecurity in the Heartland, collaborative efforts are essential. Brian Barks, President and CEO of Food Bank for the Heartland, emphasized the importance of partnerships in addressing this challenge, stating, “We are grateful to Cubby’s for their dedication in supporting our mission and our neighbors in need.”
Delone Wilson, President of Cubby’s Convenience Stores, highlighted the company’s commitment to community support: “Our local food banks play a critical role in helping families who don’t have enough to eat. We wanted to use our platform to assist in the mission of making sure that Heartland families don’t go hungry. We believe our round-up campaign is a great way to fill that need.”
We invite our customers to join us in this initiative. By simply rounding up your purchase, you can contribute to the fight against hunger in your community. Together, we can make a meaningful impact—one cent at a time.
